Where are you from?

What is your main genre?
chill/hiphop/pop/lounge/soul….all depends on whom I collaborate with

How long have you been making music?
25 years

Can you tell us about your latest release and the background behind it?
I have a new track out on Friday 18th March 2022. This is an upbeat track where I am working once again with the fabulous Emily Coy.

What do you think of the music industry after 2022?
I think for independent artists like myself things are looking good. You do not need to belong to a music label to be heard. Luckily I do have a sponsor (AWAL) who pay for releasing my tracks onto music platforms. Twitter/Facebook/Instagram etc are all there to help artists promote their sound and image. I still have to work on image…

Who is the most influential artist in your life?
Marvin Gaye

How do you think you differ from other artists?
To be honest I believe it is very difficult to differ or be original nowadays, as it’s already been done. All you can do is give something of yourself, which may give a little twist to your work.

Who would be your dream collaboration?
too many too mention…but if he were still living today, Marvin Gaye

The Jungle Book….from the Walt Disney movie

lovely…I seem to use in so many occasions…happy and when nervous ))

What other hobbies or interests do you have?
Carpentry, Swimming & Martial Arts

Tell us more about your upcoming project?
I am working on a new track at present. To be honest it is something a little different for me and is taking a lot longer than I wished it too take. I am doing the vocal, which is also something rare for tHE bLUE rOOM as I tend to feature vocalists. My last vocal was on ‘Wonder World’ from the It’s Me album.

Any comment
I am happy that I may get some exposure in Japan as I have always been interested in the culture since a young age. I started Martial Arts (Karate) at 13 years old. I have visited Japan twice before and always look forward to returning.

We are also grateful to you.  We, will continue to support tHE bLUE rOOM. Please come to Japan again.
